It is difficult to overstate the value of a McGill Method appointment with Dr. Tiltmann. I have had constant back pain for a year and a half. During that time, I have seen various doctors, completed physical therapy, and undergone a series of treatments–all of which did nothing to help my pain. After extensive research, I determined that I needed to see a doctor well-versed in the work of Dr. Stuart McGill, and I was very impressed with what others had to say about Dr. Tiltmann. I was not disappointed.

Dr. Tiltmann was the first doctor I have seen who took the time necessary to actually determine what causes my back pain and to coach me so I can work to improve it. Had I not seen him, I’m certain I would have bounced from doctor to doctor without improvement, given up, and resigned myself to surgery with little assurance that it would succeed.

Generally, my prior experiences with doctors have been positive. But when it comes to back pain, I found only disappointment after disappointment, as doctors seemed to give me a few minutes of their time, a prescription, and some generic advice that I could have found on YouTube. (And some of that advice even made things worse!) This can be a disheartening and rather lonely experience for someone living in constant pain. Dr. Tiltmann restored my faith that someone out there could guide me toward recovery.

I recommend that anyone dealing with ongoing back pain see Dr. Tiltmann as soon as possible. His care and expertise are unparalleled.

Allison Allison is a 35-year-old, 5’6”, 154 lbs. female working as an attorney with gradual onset of constant burning central low back pain, but deep squats and other incorrect performed exercises appeared to be the cause of the onset of her spine damage 1.5 years before her McGill Method visit with me. Her MRI is unremarkable.
