Dear Dr. Tiltmann,
I want to thank you once again for the thorough assessment and evaluation of my undiagnosed back pain last month. The outcome of our session was the first time I was able to believe an opinion about my back pain due to your systematic and careful approach to my problem. Every other doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist had opinions but could not back it up with anything more than a general idea of the causes.
I was especially pleased with your ability to trigger the pain sensation while draped across the table. You were the first clinician to perform that test and I felt like you identified the precise locations where my pain was emanating from. I was also pleased that you eliminated a number of other causes that were concerning to me.
I am still moving very cautiously to avoid activating the sharp pain, but resigned to making daily “deposits” and limiting the “withdrawals”. I am somewhat disappointed that the recovery time is so long, but very grateful I won’t need surgery or suffer permanent damage if I follow your plan to heal the problem.
I’ll follow up with you in a couple months with a progress report.
Thank you again, and best regards,
Marty Marty is a 59-year-old, 5’8”, 200 lbs. male with a 10-year history of nagging low back pain, then when bending forward one day he felt a severe stab in the low back resulting in an ER visit and MRI (unremarkable). He was treated for 1.5 years before seeking the McGill Method.
